Lublin hosts representatives of the Expert Committee on Intercultural Integration (ADI-INT) of the Council of Europe. The fifth meeting of the Committee is being held on May 14-15 in the Lublin City Hall and in the Baobab Community Centre.

During the meeting in Lublin, members of the Committee elected a new Chairman and Vice-Chairman. The meeting participants also discovered about Lublin's solutions regarding the integration and inclusion of foreigners, refugees and ethnic minorities. Moreover, Anna Dąbrowska, President of the Homo Faber Association, presented the work of the Civic Dialogue Commission for the integration of migrants of Lublin. It was also an opportunity to summarise a project "EU-Belong. Intercultural approach to the integration of migrants in European regions" and exchange of experiences on the intercultural, inclusive, effective and comprehensive migration-management approaches. The two-day event also included a study visit to "Baobab" integration space.

The Committee of Experts on intercultural inclusion (ADI-INT) assists the Steering Committee on Anti-Discrimination, Diversity and Inclusion (CDADI) in steering the Council of Europe’s intergovernmental work “to promote equality for all and build more inclusive societies that offer effective protection from discrimination and hate, ensure equal participation in political and public life for all without discrimination on any ground, and where diversity is respected”.

Lublin is the first city in Poland to join the Council of Europe's Intercultural Cities Programme. Lublin's cooperation with the Programme resulted in joint ventures (including the "Lublin for All" and "Communication for Integration" projects), as well as permanent participation in building a common system for managing cultural diversity in urban policies. Lublin's experience, covering projects aimed at integrating refugees from Ukraine, has been repeatedly presented in the Committee's reports and publications. The Intercultural Cities programme supports cities in creating their policies from an intercultural perspective and developing comprehensive intercultural strategies to help them positively manage diversity and realize the advantages of diversity.

For the present-day term, Lublin is represented by: Krzysztof Stanowski, Director of the Centre for International Cooperation Office, and Magdalena Gnyp-Ścigocka, Deputy Director of the Social Participation Office of Municipality of Lublin.
