Rules of the third edition of the Lublin Civic Budget to be developed jointly
12.01.201612:15

The open discussion on the third edition of the Lublin Civic Budget has been launched. We invite you to an open meeting with residents which will take place on 12th and 19th January at 5 p.m. in room no. 2 in the Town Hall. We encourage to get familiar with the detailed voting statistics regarding previous editions of the Civic Budget.

The Civic Budget turned out to be a tremendous success of Lublin residents. Two previous editions involved almost 60 projects which implementation costed 25 million PLN. I encourage everyone to work together on this year's procedure to make this tool meet the expectations of Lublin residents, District Councils and NGOs – says Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of the City of Lublin.

Every person entitled to vote could choose one big and one small project. Traditional, paper voting made it possible to collect residents' votes on a massive scale. The system of voting via the Internet was based on the verification of the PESEL number. These are only some rules which will be discussed by residents.

It is possible to get familiar with the detailed voting statistics of the Civic Budget. The interested ones can check how the residents of a certain street voted and members of which age group cast their votes on a given project. The search engine of projects is available at the website http://obywatelski@lublin.eu in a Civic Budget 2016 tab. The statistics indicate data concerning sex of voters as well.

We invite you to the consultation meetings devoted to the third edition of the Civic Budget which will take place on 12th and 19th January at 5 p.m. in room 2 in the Town Hall and encourage to complete a short survey at the website http://obywatelski@lublin.eu  Remarks can be sent to: obywatelski@lublin.eu  till 19th of January 2016.
