The Lublin Museum stairways covered in snow, are to become a stage for a winter jibbing obstacle course for the third time. On Saturday, December 3rd, the spectators will be provided with a unique opportunity to enjoy the performance delivered by the snowboard contestants and freestyle skiers who will participate in the International Jibbing Contest within the framework of the Lublin Sportival 2016 – winter's edition.
The contestants will boast of their skills on the extremely tricky course. Never before have its size and structure been so demanding as this year. The organizers are preparing a special surprise for the attendees – “Thirsty for Summer” concert is to take place owing to the collaboration of the City of Lublin with Ambra – the holder of the Cydr Lubelski brand. You will not miss attractions addressed to amateurs trying to prove themselves in winter sports in the downtown.
You can’t miss the fifth edition of the Lublin Sportival being the third winter edition of the event at the same time. The city of Lublin will be infused with sport energy and international professional competition due to the presence of contestants who top world rankings. Lublin will be visited by nearly 50 professionals from Poland as well as Russia, Czechia [the former Czech Republic] , Austria, Italy, England, the Netherlands, Norway, Iceland and the USA.
Furthermore, the Open Jam Session contest of snowboard and skiing is to take place in a mini snowpark which will be specially prepared for the event. Those interested enrolled for the snowboard contest just within few days. However, you can still enter the list of contestants and win valuable prizes.
The stunt snowboarding and skiing will be accompanied by live music owing to the collaboration of the City of Lublin and the Cydr Lubelski brand this year. The Castle Square is to turn into the scenery for energetic hip hop beats mix, DJ sets and folk scores. Young Polish artists such as L.U.C. and BUKA will perform alongside with Rebel Babel orchestra. The whole performance will be run by DJ Element and BEATS BEAST a percussion duet who consider their band as the answer for a good fun as well as a need for sharing music with others and playing any instrument you can” - says L.U.C. – a performer and lyrics author skilled at words and rhyming, a composer who unconventionally combines a variety of music styles. Rebel Babel Ensemble is a project initiated by John Feat, a Danish composer and performer of Polish origin. He made a unique platform of music dialogue, interlingual band, which comprises of lyrics authors and composers from different European regions.
During the Lublin Sportival the youngest attendees will enjoy some attractions in the Burton Children Zone . There will be foodtrucks and the Lubelski Cydr Zone especially for those who will happen to have a craving not only for sporting emotions. The lightning specially designed for the main track as well as the tenement houses around the Castle Square and the façade of the Lublin Castle will create a unique ambiance.
