Helpline for children and youth in Lublin
13.05.202410:39

Young Lublin residents have been further supported on mental health. The Crisis Intervention Centre in Lublin has launched a helpline for children and youth. This is part of the "HELP vs. Violence" project financed by European funds.

The helpline for children and youth operates from Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at the following number +48 789 777 981. Young Lublin residents, being in need of help, can receive advice from an experienced psychologist majoring in working with children and youth. It should be mentioned that the Crisis Intervention Centre continues to operate a regular, 24-hour helpline. Anyone in need of help, including adults, can obtain this kind of support. The psychological hotline is available at +48 733 588 900.

The helpline is just a single component of the "HELP vs. Violence" project. It also includes running group activities such as Aggression Replacement Training and Social Skills Training for children aged 7 to 13, as well as training for Crisis Intervention Centre staff to grasp innovative techniques and forms of assistance for those in crisis. Additionally, the project will cover group sessions for adults, including a Parent and Teacher School, a supportive-therapeutic group for those experiencing violence, and an intervention-support programme for those in crisis. Recruitment for all group activities has not yet been finalised. The group starts once the participant list is closed. 122 people will benefit from group therapy and therapeutic activities.

The "HELP vs. Violence" project is co-financed by European funds. The overall cost of the project is nearly PLN 322,000, with the European Funds contribution of PLN 305,500.
