Anna Maria Jopek with her new concert project at Stary Theatre in Lublin! An intimate, acoustic show about love.
Anna Maria Jopek – Najciszej
Premiere: February 2018

Kuba Stankiewicz is an incarnation of piano sensitivity. I met guitarist Mitchell Long in Lisbon through Melody Gardot, his collaborator; he is really musical, versatile and charming. Pedro Nazaruk is a multi-instrumentalist and my vocal companion. Robert Kubiszyn, everybody knows him... this time only on double bass and Paweł Dobrowolski on drums.

Anna Maria Jopek is a vocalist, songwriter, improviser, visionary, music enthusiast. A graduate in piano from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She also studied philosophy at the University of Warsaw. She took private singing lessons with legendary Daria Iwińska (who previously taught the artist’s father, Stanisław Jopek, also a singer). She made her piano debut at the age of 12 with a series of concerts for children at the Warsaw State Philharmonic. As a singer, she debuted at the International Festival of Arts "Slavic Bazaar" in Belarus, where she won Michel Legrand’s Personal Award (chairman of the festival jury). She has collaborated and performed all over the world with leading contemporary artists, including Marek Grechuta, Jeremi Przybora and Wojciech Młynarski in Poland, and Pat Metheny, Youssu'n Dour, Bobby McFerrin, Ivan Linz, Branford Marsalis, Nigel Kennedy, Richard Bona, Oscar Castro-Neves, Makoto Ozone, Noa and Gonzalo Rubalcaba. In 2017 she appeared on a TV New Year's concert in a spontaneous duet with Sting. She performed in the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl, Royal Festival Hall, Opera in Tokyo and Tel Aviv, Blue Note Tokyo, and Melbourne’s Hamer Hall. She recorded her albums at Peter Gabriel’s Real World studio, Abbey Road in London and Power Station in New York.

She has received all possible prestigious awards and honorary distinctions, including the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta granted by the former President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, for promoting Polish art in the world. Five years ago she started experimenting with stage forms. She starred in the production "Czas Kobiety" directed by Leszek Mądzik, for which she also co-written the music. She has also cooperated with the Song of the Goat Theatre.
