Safety rules loosened in May.

 

Following decline in COVID-19 cases recently, Polish government decided to ease a number of restrictions. The government set out a roadmap for the days ahead. Schedule is subject to change, should infections be on a rise.


 

Preliminary schedule for May

Since May 1

Unified rules Poland-wide – open hairdressers and beauty parlours.

Sportsit is possible to practice sports in outdoor facilities, limitations apply:

  • limit – up to 50 people

Sportsit is possible to practice sports in indoor facilities and swimming pools observing the following rules:

  • organized groups of children and teenagers

  • up to 50 % of the occupancy rate for a facility

Since May 4

Cultureopen art galleries and museums:

  • limit one person for every 15 m2

  • operating in strict sanitary regime

Tradeopen DIY stores, furniture stores, shopping malls

  • limit one person for every 15 m2

  • operating in strict sanitary regime

Religious worshipservices are limited to:

  • 1 person for every 15 m2

  • recommendation for holding masses in the open air

Educationprimary school:

  • stationary education for grades 1-3

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime – i.e. ventilating classrooms during breaks and disinfecting facilities at weekends

SINCE MAY 8

Hotelsopen for guests:

  • up to 50 % of the occupancy rate per a facility

  • closed restaurants and wellness area

SINCE MAY 15

wearing masks in the open air – lifting the obligation:

  • If the infection rate per 100,000 persons will fall below 15 – it will be possible to lift the obligation to wear masks in the open air.

  • The obligation to cover the nose and mouth with a mask in closed rooms will remain in force.

Outdoor gastronomy (in the open air) – open restaurant gardens:

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime – including safe distance between tables and limit of people sitting at the table

Cultureopen outdoor theatres and cinemas:

  • up to 50 % of the occupancy rate

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime

Special outdoor events the possibility of organizing, among others weddings and Holy Communions:

  • limit up to 25 people

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime – i.e. safe distance between tables and limit of people sitting at the table (the same regulation as in the case of outdoor gastronomy)

Educationprimary and secondary schools:

  • hybrid learning for grades 4-8 of primary school

  • hybrid learning for grades 1-4 of secondary school

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime: i.e. ventilating classrooms during class breaks and disinfecting facilities at weekends

Sport doing sports in indoor sports facilities:

  • up to 25 % of the occupancy rate for spectators

SINCE 29 MAY

indoor gastronomy – open restaurants:

  • up to 50 % of the occupancy rate per facility

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime – safe distance between tables and limit of people sitting at the table

Special indoor events – the possibility of organizing i.e. weddings and Holy Communions receptions:

  • limit up to 50 people

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime – i.e. safe distance between tables and limit of people sitting at the table (the same regulation as in the case of indoor gastronomy)

Culture – open cinemas and theatres

  • up to 50 % of the occupancy rate for facility

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime

Sport – doing sports in indoor sports facilities and swimming pools:

  • facilities open for everybody

  • up to 50 % of the occupancy rate for facility (incl. spectators)

Sport – doing sports at gyms, fitness clubs, tanning salons:

  • limit one person for every 15m2

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime

Educationprimary and secondary schools:

  • stationary learning for every student

  • operating in the strict sanitary regime: incl. ventilating classrooms during class breaks and disinfecting facilities at weekends

April 28 – born in 1978-1979,

April 29 – born in 1980-1981,

April 30 – born in 1982-1983,

May 1 – born in 1984-1985,

May 3 – born in 1986-1987,

May 4 – born in 1988-1989,

May 5 – born in 1990-1991,

May 6 – born in 1992-1993,

May 7 – born in 1994-1996,

May 8 – born in 1997-1999,

May 9 – born in 2000-2003

Until May 9, all persons over the age of 18 will have an e-referral issued. This means that after May 9, every adult will be able to register for vaccination. Do not hesitate and get vaccinated against COVID-19!
