In October 2021, Gmina Lublin received a grant of 118 910,00 EUR from the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE), acting as an operator of the Education Programme (https://education.org.pl/en/opens in new tab), to implement a yearly educational project entitled "Education is a relationship. Lublin and Reykjavik cooperation for education".
The project is co-financed in 85% (ca. 101 000 EUR) by the EEA Grants received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The EEA Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway towards a green, competitive and inclusive Europe. The main objective of the Programme Education is to reduce economic and social disparities within the European Economic Area (EEA) and to strengthen bilateral relations between Poland and the Donor States (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) at all levels of education.
The project goal is to strengthen knowledge, competence, and experience of school staff in building a friendly school environment which facilitate social competences development.
The project motto is good relations at school, hence the main focus lies on:
communication at school,
developing students' social competences, and
creating a friendly school space.
