Windsor is called the „City of Roses” and „Canada’s Motor Capital”. It is the seat
of the head office of the Canadian Daimler Chrysler Corporation and of Ford and General Motors assembly plants. Windsor University and the State College of Applied Arts and Technologies have motorisation research centres of Ford and Daimler Chrysler. The city’s equally important industries are those associated with the manufacturing of plastic and gelatine products. The glasshouse industry is developing based on the local agriculture.
