A simulation of European Parliament deliberations will be held at the session hall of Lublin City Hall. The aim of the simulation is to spread the knowledge on structures and functioning of the European Union, European Parliament in particular, and to familiarise the youth with practical discussion, rhetoric and argumentation skills, and to activate and prepare young people to participate in social life.
Running alongside the simulation will be an urban game the participants of which will be tracing EU funded projects.
The participants of the European Parliament deliberations' simulation and urban game will be the students of Lublin voivodship secondary and upper secondary schools.
Moreover, from 8.30 a.m. till 1 p.m. there will be a European Information Stand located by Lublin City Hall. The stand will provide information on the European Union as well as publications and materials on the subject. It will also be possible to take part in a raffle. People visiting the stand at noon will be given yellow flowers and blue balloons. When the clock strikes 12, Lublin trumpeter will play the European Union anthem.
11 - 13 May (Friday, Sturday, Sunday)
Lublin citizens and guests visiting our city will have the opportunity to taste specialties of some of Lublin partner cities’ national or regional cuisines. The dishes will be prepared by the cooks from Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine), Nancy (France) and Münster (Germany).
Those willing to try Ukrainian specialties are welcome at Magia restaurant (Rybna 1), French specialties – at Kardamon (Krakowskie Przedmieście 41), and German ones – at Czarny Tulipan (Grodzka 1). These restaurants are part of the „Place of Inspiration” programme and are partners in the project „Flavours from Partner Cities”. The aim of the event is to familiarise Lublin citizens with traditional dishes from various parts of Europe.
