Our city is going to bloom thanks to new flower compositions on seven roundabouts, bulbous plants planted in autumn between lanes and flowerbeds made of pansies located within green belts and in Saxon Garden [Polish: Ogród Saski]. Thirty three pyramid-shaped arrangements made of pink geraniums, which will be located among others on ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście, will be another novelty.

The Authorities are going to initiate works designed to enhance appearance of streets and squares, which are going to blossom thanks to various plant arrangements, after launching works connected with cleaning the city.

Thirty three flower compositions, made of pink ivy-leaved geraniums with light green leaves, are going to appear on ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście, pl. Wolności, ul. Królewska and at the Lublin Castle. Small flower pyramids will be placed, among others, nearby the junction of al. Racławickie and ul Lipowa, along ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście, from ul. Wieniawska to ul. Ewangelicka, on ul. Chopina, ul. Narutowicza and on pl. Wolności at 3rd Union of Lublin High School.

Roads and Bridges Department is going to embellish 90 streets lamps located on ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście – the promenade, ul. Królewska and the Castle Square. Three huge planters with salmon pink English geraniums with black spot will be placed on Łokietek Square. Four pyramid-flowerbeds with red geraniums will be located at the Town Hall (2), the Crown Tribunal (2) and the Lublin Castle (6). Two hundred forty six pots with pink geraniums, which will be later filled with other plants as well, will be placed on fences along ul. Lubartowska. One hundred thirty five similar compositions made of geranium and light green morning glories will appear within dividing belts at al. Jana Pawła II.

Seven roundabouts located in various parts of the city will be embellished by different colours: pink, orange, red, white, silver and green, as well as purple, yellow and blue. A total of nearly 25 thousand various flowers and decorative plants will appear on Lublin roundabouts. These will be mainly: begonias, marigolds, heliotropes, iresines. Spring flower arrangements will appear on the following roundabouts:

Bulbous plants, which were planted in autumn on al. Solidarności at the junction of ul. Dolna 3 Maja and ul. Lubomelska, are going to blossom soon. A total of 33 thousand crocuses and narcissus will appear which were planted in strips 1m x 35m on an area of 840 m2. Another 12 thousand will bloom on Lech Kaczyński Square at the Centre for Culture and on the embankment at the Lublin Castle.

Department of Municipal Services will prepare standard flowerbeds made of multicoloured pansies which will embellish Bronowice Park and ul. Krochmalna. The colours of plants located on Kardynał Stefan Wyszyński Square between ul. Lotnicza and ul. Krańcowa will be in national colours.

There are nearly 88 thousand bulbous plants located in Saxon Garden within the area of 12 ha which come out at the turn of March and April every year. These are among others: tulips, narcissus, hyacinths, muscaris. Plants are situated all over the garden and take a form of free, naturalistic arrangements which come in line with the scenic character of the park. Additionally, a spring flowerbed made of pansies, which are seasonal plants, is prepared every day. There are park roses of many kinds present in the park from the time of its foundation in 1837 because of its representative function and historical past. It is planned to prepare flowerbeds made of roses covering the area of 500 m2.
