The Conference of the Lublin Design Institute LPNT S.A. will take place on 24 November (seminar) and on 25 November 2015 (workshops). The conference is organised in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts at UMCS in Lublin. The registration deadline is Friday (20 November). The participation in the conference (both in the seminar as well as in the workshops) is free of charge, registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
One of the most important trends in the modern industrial design is packaging design. A good design results in better position on the market, the increase in the attractiveness of products and the competitiveness of enterprises. The Lubelskie region is the place where packaging design is of particular importance which is proved by the number of food producers who need packagings. Attractive and functional packagings boost sales of the product.
The aim of the conference is to discuss economic, business, legal, aesthetic and functional issues connected with packaging design. The conference targets mainly the entrepreneurs from the food industry and the printing industry, printers, packagings producers, designers of the graphic designs, the academic environment, students and the representatives of the local government.

Workshop “On a tray, on a plate or maybe on grass? Role of design in packaging design”, 9:00–16:00
The workshops targeting mainly entrepreneurs and designers.
Host: Monika Pacewicz – the designer of applied graphics experienced in designing of the corporate identity, web design and publisher graphics. She works on the history of design and on the history of graphic design in particular. She is studying User Experience Design at SWPS in Warsaw where she expands her knowledge on designing. She is the graduate in Industrial Design, major in Visual Communication at ASP in Cracow and the History of Art at KUL in Lublin.
