Lublin residents decided on the allocation of money in the amount of 15 million PLN within the Civic Budget. Twenty five projects, including 19 small and 6 big ones, which received the largest number of votes, are going to be implemented in the year 2016. One hundred and fifty-five projects were qualified to be put to vote and 64000 residents cast their votes.

I would like to offer my congratulations to the winning projects. Lublin residents have appreciated the ideas of the authors of the projects and we shall commit to put those into operation. Residents will be able to make use of the investments and therefore singling out the winning projects is their common success. The lost projects will provide us with the information about the residents' needs and will be certainly taken into account while deciding on the budget – says Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of the City of Lublin.

Twenty five projects, including 19 small and 6 big ones, which received the largest number of votes, are going to be implemented in the year 2016. Sixty-four thousand votes were cast altogether on 155 projects. The D-24 project called “an active student” gained the largest number of 5806 votes. The M-71 project “the active Lublin. Sports activities for children and youth” tops the list of the small projects. The project gained 5565 votes.

The amount of money within the second edition of the Civic Budget amounted to 15 million PLN. Eight million PLN have been allotted to the implementation of the small projects, which cost cannot exceed 500 000 PLN. The remaining sum of money, that is 7 million PLN, will cover the cost of the projects which ranges from 500 000 to 1,5 million PLN.

The rule of the projects limit was established in this year's edition which said that only 1 big project and 3 small projects can be implemented in one district. This rule was to increase the chances of smaller districts to obtain the funds from the Lublin Civic Budget. The results of voting show that it was not necessary to apply this rule – says Piotr Choroś from the Chancellery of the Mayor

The voting took place from 1 to 10 October. Every resident of Lublin which is at least 16 could vote on two projects, on one from each category. Residents could vote traditionally or via the Internet.
