The European Festival of Taste in Lublin

Program of this year's edition of the Festival looks pretty impressive. Citizens and tourists will experience four days of over 100 culinary and cultural events.
The program features St. Jack's Fair with homemade cold meats, cheeses, wines and tinctures, olives, breads, and herbs, Green Market in Błonia offering fresh products straight from the producers, tinctures tournaments and Waiters' Race in the Lubelski Route, plus an open air cinema in Fish Square. Traditionally Po Farze Square will host the Stage of Tastes. Cuisines of Podlasie, Roztocze, but also Belgium, Russia, or Italy will be presented from Friday to Sunday. In a number of spots throughout the city you will be able to taste dainties from Lubelszczyzna and from entire Europe.
Balkan rhythms will entertain us in the evenings. Bałkanika will be performing on Friday, and a gypsy band The Gypsy Kal Band on Saturday. Energetic girls from the rock band Transola will seize the stage on Sunday.
This year's edition of the Festival will also feature a number of novelties. – We were looking for an art discipline which would totally involve the audience. We've chosen photography – says Waldemar Sulisz, the Festival's director.
Apart from several photographic exhibitions (in restaurants, in the Castle, in the Dominican Monastery), you will have a chance to see and test Leica equipment. What is more, you will be able to take part in Photographic Academy, supervised and instructed by Tadeusz Rolke, Leszek Mądzik and Czesław Czapliński.
