US Consul visits Lublin – a meeting for secondary school and university students

The Embassy of the United States of America in Warsaw together with Camp Counselors USA-Poland, a partner of the United States Department of State, organised a meeting with the US Consul, Mr Nick Laverty, on Wednesday 6th December 2017.

The Consul presented summer exchange programmes and other exchange programmes addressed to secondary school and university students. He explained visa facilitations for secondary school and university students, as well as the rules and application process. Moreover, he answered questions and participated in a discussion (the Consul can speak Polish). The meeting took place on 6th December 2017 at 4.30 p.m. in the Faculty of Humanities of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University.

Nick Laverty is an American diplomat in the rank of vice consul at the Embassy of the United States of America in Warsaw. He is a Ph.D. in political studies. Before joining the American diplomatic corps, he worked as a lecturer at prestigious American universities in the region of New England: in such states as Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. He also devoted his professional life to detecting international corruption affairs.
