School Civic Budgets is a competition which provides funding of the projects prepared by youth from educational institutions in Lublin. Each of the winning schools receive PLN 4,000 as well as the organisational and substantive support in the implementation of the School Civic Budget in their area. The call for applications runs until 5 April.
Since 2019, the City has supported educational, cultural, sport or social projects aimed at the local community and undertaken by children and youth from Lublin. In 2021, a pilot edition of School Civic Budget was launched. Within it, 10 schools implemented their ideas. In the following school year, 20 educational institutions from Lublin participated in the School Civic Budget.
The competition ”Development of student self-governance in Lublin – School Civic Budgets - third edition” is an activity carried out as a part of European Youth Capital Lublin 2023. The initiative is financed by the Fund for Bilateral Relations in the framework of the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 within the framework of the project “Youth for the City, City for the Youth – projects and initiatives involving and including local communities” and by the City of Lublin.
