Sport awards

Financial prizes and honours for competitors and coaches with high sport achievements and other individuals with an outstanding record of work in the field of sport.

The prize is established in order to:

  1. honour competitors for their high sport achievements and coaches who have contributed to competitors’ high sport achievements and other persons an outstanding record of work in the field of sport,
  2. provide an encouragement and incentive for high sport achievements and improving professional skills necessary to ensure competitors’ high sport achievements,
  3. reward competitors and other persons with an outstanding record of work in the field of sport and coaches whose trainees have experienced success in sport, and who contribute to the promotion of the city of Lublin both in domestic and international arenas,
  4. honour coaches and other persons with an outstanding record of work for the development of sports in the city of Lublin.

Distinctions can be awarded to competitors in the Senior, Youth and Junior categories, coaches and other persons with an outstanding record of work in the field of sports, for their contribution to sport achievements in international or national competitions.

Distinctions include statuettes, cups, plaques, medals and diplomas.

Prizes for high sport achievements in international or national competitions can be awarded to competitors in the Senior, Youth and Junior categories.

Prizes can be awarded to coaches and other persons whose activities have contributed to competitors’  high sport achievements.

Prizes for competitors’ high sport achievements in all sport disciplines and events can be awarded for:

  1. winning the 1st place in Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Deaflympics, or the Universiade: up to PLN 20,000,
  2. winning the 2nd place in Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Deaflympics, or the Universiade: up to PLN 15,000,
  3. winning the 3rd place in Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Deaflympics, or the Universiade: up to PLN 10,000,
  4. participation in Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Deaflympics or the Universiade: up to PLN 5,000,
  5. setting a World record or winning the 1st place in World Championships: up to PLN 10,000,
  6. setting a European record or taking the 1st place in European Championships or the 2nd place in World Championships : up to PLN 8,000,
  7. winning the 2nd place in European Championships or the 3rd place in World Championships : up to PLN 6,000,
  8. winning the 3rd place in European Championships or the 1st place in Championships of Poland: up to PLN 5,000,
  9. winning the 2nd place or the 3rd place in Championships of Poland: up to PLN 1,000,
  10. team promotion to the highest competition class: up to PLN 3,000 per competitor.

A competitor in the Youth or Junior category can be awarded a prize of up to 50% of the amount awarded for the Senior category.

In recognition of their accomplishments, coaches and other persons who contribute to high sport achievements, referred to in the Rules of Procedure, can be awarded a prize of up to 75% of the amount awarded to the competitor.
