Mateusz Nowak is a philologist, speech therapist, organizer of cultural activities, theatre instructor, reciter, monodrama actor, and doctoral candidate with the Faculty of Humanities at Maria Curie Skłodowska University. He has been collaborating with the Spoken Word Studio at the Center for Culture in Lublin for 10 years. He is an author of numerous educational programmes on the spoken word and stage speech (Architektura Słowa, Między literą a słowem, Słowo z człowieka wywołane). He has been awarded at the Meetings of One Actor Theatres in Wrocław and won prizes at numerous national declamation contests and monodrama festivals. Nowak conducts regular spoken word workshops at the ”Węglin” Community Cultural Centre in Lublin, where he holds the position of director for organizational and programme affairs. He is an originator and coordinator of “SPIS TREŚCI,” a series of meetings on literature and spoken word.

​Mateusz Nowak received the Best Young Artist Award at the 13th International Theater Festival "Saint Muse" in Ulan Bator (Mongolia). At the festival the artist performed his monodrama prepared under a scholarship from the Mayor of Lublin City, "From front and from behind."
