The Cellar Under Fortuna is located in the basement of the Lubomelski burgher house (8 Rynek Street). It consists of ten rooms - in nine of them there is a modern arranged exhibition consisting of multimedia presentations, visualizations and exhibits familiarizing with the history of Lublin. The tenth room is a former wine cellar that walls are covered with the Renaissance polychrome - unique in Poland paintings on secular themes. Ten paintings arranged on the walls, on the eaves of the fireplace and on the vault contain numerous references to the ancient culture (mythology, literature) and the Renaissance customs. The polychromes come from the second half of 16 th century.
The Cellar Under Fortuna is under the care of "The Grodzka Gate - NN Theater" Center. Currently, a new, original exhibition is being prepared. However, the tourists can visit the historic interior covered with 16th-century paintings.
