Being a highly regarded dance festival in Poland and Europe, International Dance Theatres Festival (pol. Międzynarodowe Spotkania Teatrów Tańca, MSTT) presents unique performances by professional dance theatres from all over the world and promotes Polish artists seeking opportunity to present and discuss their work.

The idea of the Festival is mutual knowledge and exchange of experiences as well as inspiration of cultural diversity between Poland and European countries and other parts of the world. The creators of the Festival emphasize the universal dimension of the event, reminding us that contemporary dance is a special medium of understanding - a fully democratic art, perfectly transmitting emotions enriched by a strong intellectual charge.

This year, the organizers are going to focus on marking the differences as well as common features between often extreme dance phenomena. The outstanding dancers, choreographers, pedagogues and dance experts from around the world are going to be the guests of the 22nd edition. Particular attention will be paid to the American dance scene. Scene 22. MSTT will host such representatives as: Collen Thomas, company <fidget> or Wojciech Mochnia. The choreographers associated with the Aerowaves dance network will also present their shows: Linda Hayford, Fouad Boussouf - Compagnie Massala and Núria Guiu Sagarra. The program also features shows of young laureates of choreographic competitions and the most promising students of individual dance departments and guests from the eastern border of: Belarus and Ukraine. Special guests of this year's festival will be two unique American ballet companies: Ailey IIi Alonzo King LINES Ballet. Their latest performances will be presented thanks to the cooperation of the Lublin Dance Theater, the Centre of Culture in Lublin and the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures (CSK). At the CSK Opera Hall, the dancers will show the the world canon repertoire of contemporary dance, including the legendary "Revelations" by Alvin Ailey.

MSTT is also a series of accompanying events, including dance and choreography workshops, dance writing workshops and a festival cinema. On the screen we will see such titles as the "West Side Story" 10 Oscar winners, the "Bobbi Jene" or "Rize" documentary.
