Christmas Festival
24.12.200809:02

Although young, because only a few years old, the Christmas Festival has become tradition in Lublin – a tradtion which enriches the Christmas festivities prepared by the city. Christmas is the time to meet with family and friends, to talk and sing carols.
The Mayor’s Office invites to visit the Nativity scene, which, just like last year, will be set up at Po Farze Square. During the festival, the Nativity scene will be vibrant with Christmas carols. On behalf of the representatives of the Dominican Order in Lublin we have the pleasure to invite everyone to take part in the traditional Christmas Eve on 21 December in Lublin’s Old Town. During the festival we will listen to christmas carols performed by students from schools and culture centres from Lublin. Pastorals will be performed by Joanna Zabłocka and Sebastian Pikuła, Lubelska Federaca Bardów, Natalia Arnal with the N’lavie ensemble, and Dzieci z Brodą. A theatre group from Ukraine which is taking part in a project titled „Pilgrims from Lviv to Bethlehem” will perform during the Lublin festival. We hope that thanks to the festival we will create a unique Christmas atmosphere in Lublin’s Old Town Building the Nativity scene on Po Farze Square will last from 2nd untill 21st December. Like last year, the construction works will be carried out by Mr Tadeusz Marchewka and his team of carpenters. The construction site is secured by fences provided by Impel company.
