Electro sounds from SKINNY PATRINI

SKINNY PATRINI (gig), ŚMIERĆ DISKO SOUND(S) (dj set) 14th of March, Tektura, ul. Wieniawska 15A, start: 8pm, ticket: 12zł Skinny Patrini is a brilliant duo and combination of both obscure and erotic electro. They are a musical and visual phenomenon, often compared to such stars as Peaches or IAMX. And they fall very high within these comparisons.
This genuine duo is formed by two friends: Anna Patrini responsible for vocals and mixing sounds Michał ‘Skinny’ Skórka. It’s difficult to tag their music. What you can find here is rough postpunk, dirty electroclash or even mysterious melodies from neo-cold wave circles. Skinny Patrini try not to stay in one style; they’re open to the new in music and – what’s very important – they’re not afraid to experiment. www.myspace.com/skinnypatrinielectroduo Śmierć Disko Sound(s) is a dj-team twisting people’s spines, minds and ears with alternative sounds from late 70’s till now. At the end it’s all about dancing so they try to dig out dancing grooves from music trends such as postpunk, new wave, cold wave, no wave, electro and dance-punk. They keep travelling virtually through time and space, bringing carefully selected sounds for the ones of strong feet and open minds. Lately Śmierć Disko Sound(s) have played at various art and culture festivals and “live act/dead act” gigs. They warmed up the audience of artists like Procesora Plus and Dick4Dick and played after-parties with Mikrowafle, Organizm, Bruno Schulz, Bajzel, Stodola and Naczynia. www.myspace.com/smiercdiskosoundsystem
