FIFA representatives accompanied by Local Organizing Committee at the Polish Football Association (PZPN) have visited “Arena Lublin” stadium. Delegation of FIFA and PZPN met on September 18th with the Mayor of the City, Mr. Krzysztof Żuk to give him some exhilarated news: Lublin will be one of the Host Cities of next year's World Cup!
A detailed inspection verified the infrastructure preparation for sports facilities in Lublin for the next year's World Championships. The specialists in security, marketing, media and ticketing came to Lublin; experts on television broadcasts and greenkeepers have also visited the object.
FIFA U20 World Championship Poland 2019 will take place in just over eight months in six cities in Poland. The opening match will be played on May 23, 2019. The final is scheduled for June 15, 2019. There will be 24 teams from around the world playing this tournament. The Youth World Cup has been held every 2 years since 1977. The first tournament was organized in Tunisia, while the last three championship events took place in Turkey (2013), New Zealand (2015) and South Korea (2017). Poland will be the fifth European host of the Championship.
