“Other Sounds” Art'n'Music Festival 2009

On July 10 the starts the 2nd edition of the “Other Sounds” Art'n'Music Festival. The Festival lasts for 5 days during which the audience is going to hear Motion Trio in their own repertoire and compositions of Wojciech Kilar, Krzysztof Pendereckieg, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki and Michael Nyman; Gorgisheli (art rock), Adlibitum (ethno-jazz, mainstream, blues), Schockolad (ethno-jazz, cool).
There are also performances of Gaba Kulka, Peyoti for President (Great Britain) - anarchofolk-punk, The Ark (USA, Israel, Ukraine) – ethno-jazz-blues-klezmer, Tinariwen (Mali) desert blues, Voo Voo and Haydamaky – concert promoting their new album. The audience can also hear Pola, Maria Peszek and Katarzyna Nosowska. Apart from concerts, there is also meeting with Jerzy Skolimowski, Janusz Fogler, Wojciech Prażmowski, Tomasz Sikora, Magda and Andrzej Dudziński and Andrzej Fogtt entitled “Borders of Europe.” There are also accordion workshops by the Motion Trio and Janusz Wojtarowicz. Another event during the Festival are exhibitions of works by Andrzej Dudziński (photocompositions), Andrzej Fogtt and Jerzy Skolimowski (painting), Janusz Fogler, Wojciech Prażmowsk and Tomasz Sikora (photos). There is also Cobalt Muse award granted by the Other Sounds Foundation. It is presented to outstanding artists.
