"An improvisational theatre" or "an improvised theatre" ("impro" in short) is an initiative that brings excellent results when taken by not only young artists but also professional actors and complete amateurs. "Impro" teaches how to understand and create the drama structure of a performance. It forms personality, develops imagination, encourages creative thinking, integrates a team and teaches cooperation and humility. "Impro" was created in the 1960s; originally a training for actors, later became an original and attractive form of a stage performance. Since then, this form of performance, devoid of props, costumes, scenery, a script or a director but with a great dose of spontaneity and humour, has gained more and more enthusiasts all over the world.

One of the oldest and most attractive types of "Improvisational theatre" is "Theatresports". This form of theatre activities is more attractive thanks to the stage competition. During the competition two teams act in different theatrical projects. The workshop, dedicated not only to the young but also to the older enthusiasts of the word art, is led by a theatre instructor Przemysław Buksiński, who graduated from the Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Cultural Management. The workshop instructor has been also the lecturer in Cultural Management at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. He is the creator of "No potatoes" Theatre improvisation group as well.
