*Jan Mioduszewski* has been using the FABRYKA MEBLI signature since 2002. The name Fabryka Mebli (Furniture Factory) taken from non-artistic field, describes art: paintings, installations, performance, photographs and interventions. The author has been creating a history of non-existent company since 2002. The Furniture Factory produces paintings-pieces of furniture and cooperates with galleries and he furnishes them.
Mioduszewski's works display the tension between the mythology of FIRMA and autonomy of the works. In most of the his latest exhibitions, the importance of the autonomy was more important than FIRMA.
The exhibition in Biała Gallery will focus mainly on the FIRMA-FABRYKA theme. Mioduszewski will use his objects, paintings and photographs to arrange the furniture company. The exhibition will use the visual aspects of company: forms, seat, cars, marketing strategies, presence on international markets and all the elements will contribute to the narration, the story about a company and its mechanisms, labor organization, marketing and strategies.
The exhibition will be open till January 15, Monday through Friday from 11.00 to 5.00pm
