Archaic recordings of Amazon tropics and music from the 60ties – decade of contestation, resolution and stormy changes registered on tape. All that shouldn’t be heard or what is random and unnecessary – here is reinforced and exposed. The rest is just an accompaniment - sultry, moist and green-brownish. Piotr Kurek
Piotr Kurek - sound artist, author of pieces for theatre and contemporary dance performances. In the late 90's was the co-founder of the extreme electronic group Ślepcy. He works with the Portuguese label Crónica and Crossroads Centre from Lublin. He has two solo albums. Piotr Kurek performs at several theatre and music festivals in Poland (Malta Festival, CODES Festival), Germany (Transmediale), Portugal (Cornelius Cardew and the Art of Listening), France (Traverses), Austria (Elevate), Hungary (UH Fest), Belarus and Spain. Incidentally collector of small, medium and large instruments.
