Lublin has joined the "Viva Europa, Live Opera for European Cities” project. Lubliners will have an opportunity to see Puccini's Tosca broadcasted from Valencia (Spain) on June 13, at Po Farze Square. Attendance to the event is free of charge.
The opera starts at 8.00pm and stars Oksana Dyka, Jorge de León and Bryn Terfel. Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana will be conducted by Zubin Mehta.
Viva Europa is integrated in the activities of the European Union within the 2011 European Year of Volunteering, becoming its cultural event with the most significant visibility.
The event is targeted at all citizens resident in Europe and it consists in the simultaneous broadcast of a live opera being represented in the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, Spain, to all the cities that wish to join the project.
