At 18.00 in the arcades of Hieronim Łopaciński Municipal Public Library in Lublin will be shown "live images" by Artur Grottger. About 18.30 is planned the staging of the funeral procession - go to the monument of the Union of Lublin.
The Senate of the Republic of Poland the year 2013 established as the Year of the January Uprising. It has been a tribute to the devotion and sacrifice of the participants in the uprising. On March 8, 2012 took place the first edition of the project by teachers and students from Hetman Jan Zamoyski High School entitled “Bojowe Panny” (Militant Maidens). The project presents brave, charismatic, well-deserved women of Lublin.
On the genesis of the project consist: characteristic content of Artur Grottger paintings showing the patriotic custom of the funeral processions that took place in Lublin before the uprising; and biographies of two remarkable women of the Uprising: Henryka Pustowójtówna and Lucyna Żukowska.
