The "Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre" Centre, Photographic Studio & NN Gallery would like to invite to an opening of Loli Kantor "There Was a Forest. Jewish Life in Eastern Europe"photography exhibition.

After the opening reception there is a meeting with the Author planned in Sala Czana/the Black Chamber of the Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre.

Loli Kantor was born in Paris, France, raised in Tel Aviv, Israel and Buffalo, the USA. Since 1984 she has lived in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a fine art and documentary photographer. Her latest works focus on the life and culture of Jews from Central and Eastern Europe. Being the daughter of the Holocaust survivors, she approaches the subject with particular sensitivity. Loli’s photography has been exhibited all over the world: in the United States, China, Ukraine, Spain, and Czech Republic.
Her works can be found in numerous private collections and museums such as Museum of Fine Art w Huston; The Harry Ransom Center; University of Texas in Austin; Lishui Photography Museum, China; National Museum in Lviv, Ukraine. In January 2009 her book of photos “There Was a Forest” was published.

The exhibition in Lublin includes 20 photos in palladium and colour miniature works. 

The exhibition is opened until 10June 2013 from Monday to Friday, 10:00 am – 4:30 pm or by appointment.
