The compilation of Czech animations includes technically perfect, formally diverse and, most of all, truly amusing works. The showing has been prepared thanks to cooperation between SeMaFor Studio and International Festival of Animated Films ANIFEST in Teplice (Czech Republic).

The showcase includes the following Czech animated works:
1) Contact (2003) by Martin Duda
Is there a conflict or a harmony between cartoon and digital animation? An allegoric fight between two rival animation techniques proves that each one has its own strengths and neither one is superior.

2) Game (2004) by Galina Miklínová
Chance or knowledge of rules – what is the factor that makes us win? The film is based on a popular children’s board game.

3) Geranium (2005) by Lucie Sunková
A couple moves to suburbs to grow geraniums together. However, their destiny puts them through a series of mistakes fatal to their dreams

4) A Scene from the Life of Antelopes (2004) by Edita Krausová
An interpretation of one of the fables by Jacques Prévert. Adaptacja jednej z bajek Jacquesa Préverta. It’s a story of an antelope, which is injured by accident. Its friend waits in vain for it to come back for dinner.

5) Radio Kebrle (2006) by Zdeněk Durdil
Prior to founding his legendary Monstrkabaret, artist Fred Brunold scraped by doing anything and everything he could. For a while, he worked at a certain unusual radio station.

6) The Clod (2007) by Jaromír Plachý
One unusual morning for one unusual creature. Film created by using modest technological means.

7) Mrs. G (2007) by Michal Žabka
Sometimes even the biggest loser may get the chance to win true love and happiness with a very sexy lady. An inflatable lady.

8) Whoops, Mistake! (2008) by Aneta Kýrová
A story about a human baby and a bear cub. who accidentally turned up at the wrong door. Film inspired by true events.

9) Torchbearer (2006) by Václav Švankmajer
Fantasy story about a hero who wanders along a dark labyrinth. To find his way, he will have to pass three tests.

Tickets: 5 PLN, available at the box office of Centre for Culture in Lublin and at the venue one hour before the screening.
