Recollecting the history of the district by sharing remembrances expressed in the language of art. The project consists of two parts.
1. Exhibition of ten paintings by Paulina Litwin, a painting student. The artist supplements her pictures by adding elements of performance art; she places sculptures close by and discovers the true message of the piece to the viewer. The works of Ms. Litwin are inspired by her childhood memories and her old photos. The preview of the exhibition will be held in the seat of Municipal Family Support Centre (MOPR historic tenement building).
2. Large format photographs will be presented within the walls of the Municipal Family Support Centre courtyard. The organizers will use both archive and present-day photographs. They will provide additional modern and historical artistic elements of the setting, such as passers-by, cars, signboards or road signs. The audience can freely position or rearrange these elements on the photographs at will, thus creating a collage.
"Synaesthesia of the City" denotes the city and memories of it and of the district where the project is going to be carried out. The viewers will be able to see non-existent images of the district and change them by placing movable elements onto the photographs.
