Boom Pam (Israel)
Boom Pam is an Israeli music band created in 2003. Their music is a mixture of sounds characteristic for many cultures from countries of Mediterranean Basin and Arabian Peninsula. The basis for their instrumental journeys is rock mixed with folk music coming from several regions: South-Eastern fringe of Europe and Middle East. They get their inspiration from Greek culture, Balkan countries, Klezmer and Arabian music.
The debut album of the band was recorded in co-production with a famous DJ Shantel from Essay Recordings. The album reached top ten of World Music Charts. The next two albums confirmed the originality of the project which resulted in co-operation with Balkan Beat Box group, among others. Boom Pam’s concerts are an ecstatic mixture of surfer guitar with Balkan tuba and a firm percussion beat.
