This year’s edition is the eleventh walk around the places described in Poemat o mieście Lublinie (A Poem about Lublin). The first walk took place in the night of 13th-14th July 2013 and was a part of celebrations commemorating Józef Czechowicz’s 100th birthday. It began annual tradition of walks around places immortalized in Czechowicz’s Poem about Lublin. We would like to invite everyone to take a stroll in Lublin on the July night, the first full moon night of the month, as it is the time when the wayfarers trace paths described in the Poem.

The route takes us to the City starting from Czechowskie Hills and leads to defunct Wieniawa suburbs, goes through a cemetery in Lipowa Street, the main street of Lublin –Krakowskie Przedmieście to the Old Town and from there to the Castle, the Holy Trinity Chapel. Then, it goes down what used to be Szeroka Street and winding paths of non-existent Jewish quarter through “Kalinowszczyzna and Czwartek” to finally take you out of the City. Czechowicz and the full moon will lead us. It will be the path to places familiar to us but also to those which disappeared from the map of Lublin.
