Małe Instrumenty
A Wroclaw-based artistic group which seeks sounds in the sphere of small instruments – toys, peculiar music s not just a new albun, eusic inventions and a whole lot of small objects which are able to produce any kind of sound. Music constructed this way exposes the unusual character of tones, sometimes beautiful like a masterpiece, other times surprising like a discovery and sometimes revealing the defects or limits of certain sounds. The most recent project by Paweł Romańczuk, Marcin Ożóg, Tomasz Orszulak, Jędrzej Kuziela and Maciej Bączyk is entitled “Samoróbka” (Selfmade) and it is dedicated to self-made musical instruments. The group has been experimenting with this sound since the early days of their existence. It seems that the right moment to present the results of those experiments has just come. They have finally decided to put some construction ideas into action and bring unusual sound objects to life. “Samoróbka” is not just a new album. It is accompanied by a book by Paweł Romańczuk presenting the instruments that were created in the band’s workshop and a manual for all the enthusiasts who would like to have a go at constructing some simple unusual musical instruments. On the day of the concert musical workshops will be conducted.

The “Samoróbka” Project is supported by the European Capital of Culture 2016 and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Our partner is also the Lange Łukaszuk Company specialising in top class workshop equipment.
