Diazpora is a band with more than a decade’s worth of experience of transmitting explosive energy on and off stage. The energy is delivered everywhere as it is generated in clubs, pubs, at festivals, on busy streets, on the underground, on boats, etc. Inspired by city life, in particular by the hustle and bustle of urban existence, and by culture in all its shapes and formats - sex, noise (pollution), aesthetics, chaos and calmness, the band is a crossover act, seamlessly merging funk grooves, juicy bottom-heavy basslines, high-precision rhythm section, distorted guitars, screaming Hammond organs, and the sounds of Rhodes. What is created can be termed an irresistible blend of a “new school” funky jazz.

The band’s latest studio offering contains eleven brand new instrumental tracks oscillating between funk and jazz, raw austerity and flawless cohesion. It was recorded live over the course of three days using old school analogue and it is evidence of the group’s ability to create a set of propulsive high-octane performances that best served and consumed live.
