He is the spiritual godfather of the project that he called “Tribute to Jerzy Milian” - the first ever in the history of jazz musical meeting of four vibraphonists as homage to Milian. The premiere performance took place in Łódź as part of the Sixth Summer Academy of Jazz in Europe.
Jerzy Milian – composer, pianist, arranger; a musician has been one of the most original personalities of the Polish jazz scene since the early 1960s. A precursor of the Polish school of jazz, who is one of the most sought-after artists by jazz connoisseurs in Europe. His recordings, especially from the late 1960s and the early 1970s, have been re-discovered by a new generation of musicians hailing from the modern dance scene while samples of his compositions have served as bases for many contemporary electronic tracks.
