Jazzanova is not only a deejay-production collective created in Berlin in 1995 but its beginnings date back to the times of the Delicious Doughnuts Research Club, in which dj-friends - Alexander Barck, Class Brieler, Roskow Kretschmann, Stefan Leisering, Axel Reinerem, Jurgen von Knoblauch - used to interchangeably play. When the idea of producing tracks for the compilation showcasing the skills of the club’s residents started to materialise itself, the djs realised that apart from the stage and the friendship they also shared a common musical aesthetic. That is how Jazzanova - the world’s most recognizable nu jazz collective came about.

After more than a decade in business since its inception and having played hundreds of deejay-style gigs in every corner of the world Jazzanova has metamorphosed into its long-awaited fully live line-up, which features vocalists and a woodwind section. In Lublin they will be performing alongside an American singer Paul Randolph. Together, they will perform their well-known tunes as well as the songs from their 2012 album “Funkhaus Studio Sessions”. Also, as part of their “Miliannova” project, they will present their own nu jazz re-interpretations of Jerzy Milian’s compositions.
