Daniel Pielucha was born in 1959 in Wieluń. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków where he received a diploma from the Faculty of Graphic Art in Katowice in 1985. His artistic form is oil easel painting and the style he represents is so called ‘Polish surrealism’. Like many of his predecessors, in his works the artist is looking for features that will illustrate the distinguishing character of our culture. He emphasizes its exceptional character with great respect for the workmanship and history of Polish painting. He finds inspiration in the disappearing landscape of our countryside and therefore he keenly participates in the most important plain airs of figurative art. Folk character of Polish countryside, its beliefs and customs provide the scenery for the painting visions in which the author expresses his attitude towards contemporary world and the existence of another human being.
The artist has presented his works at solo exhibitions in Katowice, Oświęcim, Częstochowa, Głogówek, Szczyrk, Warszawa, Sieradz, Gniezno, Zielona Góra, Gorlice and Iława. His art also represented Poland at collective exhibitions in Berlin, Stockholm, New York and Mexico.

Wirydarz Art Gallery will present paintings from the past few years; the exhibition will be on display until 31 January 2014.
