New Year's Eve at the Old Theatre: Singin' Birds
Start date 2013-12-31
Start time 19:00
Kategoria Koncert

Not unlike in 2012, this year the Old Theatre invites all to join in the New Year's Eve celebrations. We would like to recommend you to start this unique evening by listening to the Polish and American musical evergreens of the 1950s and the 1960s performed by SINGIN' BIRDS, three beautiful women who in terms of physical appearance and musical stylings consciously allude to the traditions of the golden era of rock’n’roll and swing. Liveliness and buoyant mood for the rest of the night guaranteed!

Singin' Birds is a band that takes the listeners back to the times of the golden era of swing, drawing on the best American musical traditions. At other times, it alludes to the 1950s, when rock’n’roll was the king of dance floors worldwide.
The group’s debut album entitled “Niech tak zostanie” (“Let it stay that way”) was released on the 5th of November, 2013 by Parlophone Music Poland. The LP contains among others “Sing-Sing”, the song that the band, accompanied by the Tomasz Szymuś Big Bang, performed live in Opole during the “Superdebiuty z Marylą” (“Super-debuts with Maryla ”). The lyrics of one of the songs were written by Marek Gaszyński, a famous music journalist and a songwriter.

Singin’ Birds was short-listed to perform in the semi-finals of Must Be The Music.
