A German village between 1913 and 1914. Patriarchy all around, where women and children know their place. Unexplained events occur. A wire is stretched between two trees causing the local doctor a terrible fall from his horse. The farmer’s wife dies under mysterious circumstances and the baron's son goes missing. Looking from the outside, it seems as if aggression has entered this rural idyll.
