A biopic focusing on the life and work of Hannah Arendt, a German political theorist, philosopher, writer, and journalist, one of the leading thinkers of the twentieth-century. Her work on the texts for “The New Yorker”, in particular on her account of the Adolf Eichmann trial, led to the formulation of the famous concept of “the banality of evil.” The film zooms in on the trial and on the controversies caused by Arendt’s book.
