Just imagine …
The first meeting in the Storytellers (SŁOWODAJĘ - IA – MIASTO) series is an introduction into the world of improvised acting by familiarising the workshop participants with the techniques and tools that an actor has at his/her disposal. Together, we will create a number of engaging and fantastical tales beginning with a simple sentence: “I was walking to school and just imagine my surprise when …” ("Wyszedłem z domu aby dojść do szkoły i wyobraźcie sobie...".)

Each workshop will be conducted by a professional actor and a practitioner of the art of improvised theatre. During the first workshop we will focus on the city and the relationships taking place and shape between the city and the workshop participants. Primarily, we will be zooming in on how to be in command of the spoken word, how to adlib – improvise by means of words and gestures, and how to build and develop narratives.

The meetings are dedicated to junior high school and high school pupils. Participation in the workshop is free of charge. Due to a limited amount of seating available, early booking is advised. To book a place, call us direct at 81 533 08 18, Monday to Friday, 10 am - 4 pm.
Hosted and conducted by: Przemysław Buksiński, a recipient of numerous awards and a graduate of Jagiellonian University’s Cultural Animation Faculty. Actor of the Lublin-based InVitro Theatre as well as the Hans Christian Andersen Theatre in Lublin. University lecturer, teacher of improvisation techniques, and founder of the No Potatoes improvised theatre group. In short, a Renaissance man living in the twenty-first century.

The events are conducted in Polish.
