DAS MOON is a music journey into the past and into the future. Das Moon is a charismatic trio inspired by iconic groups such as Einstürzende Neubauten, Laibach, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, but is also noted for its own original compositions.
Characteristically, the music of Das Moon features a high dose of electronica tinged with new wave guitars and raw percussion instruments as well as Daisy K’s hypnotic vocals.
Among others, Das Moon is the 2012 laureate of the Zrób Głośniej! (Turn It Up!) Music Competition organized by T-Mobile Music. As a result, the band performed on stage alongside Jazzanova, Squarepusher and James Blake during the Electronic Beats Festival in Gdańsk as the only Polish act. So far Das Moon has played concerts in Germany (Leipzig) – during the Wave Gotic Treffen (WGT), the world’s biggest dark, electro-industrial and gothic music festival as well as in Poland – during the equally prestigious Castle Party in Bolków. In 2013 Das Moon participated in the 6th iteration of Must Be the Music, the acclaimed TV show. The band’s performance was well received both by the in-studio audience and the panel of judges (4 “yes” votes) and subsequently Das Moon was invited by the organisers of the electronic music festival Mayday to perform during its 2014 edition.
