Concert: The Frozen North + Drekoty
The Frozen North is a post-rock band founded in 2014 by musicians from Warsaw (Poland), Glasgow (Scotland) and Roscrea (Ireland) who create instrumental music typified by the dynamics of loud and silent guitars as well as by liberal utilization of the harmonic violin sounds. The band’s music encompasses ethereal sounds, modified by guitar effects, strong rhythms and beautiful violin melodies that orbit round the border between delicate motifs and euphoric walls of sound. Despite not being a band of long standing, the Frozen North have so far played in the Café Kulturalna Club and the Palladium Club in Warsaw as well as during the “Na Siano Sunrise” Festival, organized by Nasiono Records in the Kaszuby region of Poland.

Drekoty
Drekoty is a band founded in 2011 by percussionist Ola Rzepka. The “Trafostacja” EP is the group’s debut record. Their music defies easy labeling as it is in principle driven by a syncretic crossover approach that the band members consider their boon: their genre of choice is no genre at all. Their instrumental core consists of percussion and keyboards complemented by three overlaying and intertwined vocals.
