Exhibition: Marek Radke – “Tu i tam”
Start date 2014-10-03
Start time 00:00
Ending date 2014-11-14

Marek Radke’s exhibition “Tu i tam” (Here and There) presents abstract paintings, objects and installations. Some UV-lit rooms create visually unique spaces, where the play of light, forms and colours assumes a multidimensional aspect. The artist uses simple geometrical forms which he animates and moves, thus shifting the boundaries of their physicality. He creates sensual spaces which sharpen our perception if interpreted directly. While preparing the exhibition, the artist led a few day-long workshops, the visual results of which are shown in the corridor as an integral part of the exhibition.

Marek Radke was born in 1952. In the years 1972-1977 he studied Fine Arts and Pedagogy at the universities in Gdańsk and Poznań. From 1993 to 1994 he studied Graphic Design and Computer Animation at the Siemens Nixdorf Training Center in Frankfurt am Main. In 2008 he was awarded a scholarship from the Pollock Krasner Foundation in New York. Radke lives and works in Oerlinghausen, Germany.

The exhibition runs from 3 October to 14 November 2014.
