Vernissage: ende neu: Diabły! (Devils!) – Exhibition

Who is weak/strong, or to be precise enfeebled/empowered in the Poland of today? DEVILS! In other words, the ghost of heresies past – of cultural, political and artistic transgressions. The potency and impotence are evoked by this exhibition that infuses the horizon of the visual arts with the representatives of philosophy, literature, music and even politics. Texts by Agata Bielik-Robson, Cezary Michalski, Michał Witkowski and Janusz Palikot gain further prominence, becoming artistic artefacts. Similarly, the music of Antichrist and Stara Rzeka gains the status of an even more dimensional object of art.
In December, the exhibition will be accompanied by a Q and A with philosopher Agata Bielik-Robson and writer Cezary Michalski. The meeting will be hosted by Tomasz Kozak, visual artist, and Piotr Pękala, curator of the „Diabły!” (“Devils!”) exhibition.
The exhibition runs till 9 January 2015. (Tuesday-Saturday, 12pm - 6 pm).
