The film takes place in Lublin in the 30s and the main protagonist of this story is a police officer, a real tough guy with a long history of broken hearts and a reputation of an uncompromising guardian of public order, who has very unconventional methods of handling both the criminals and the regulations. As we will see in the unexpected ending, he has a loose approach also towards morality.
