In February we will focus on films featuring at least one summer-like scene. Still, we are not running away from problems. On the contrary, we aim to drench them in summery sunshine, allowing in turn us to soak up the sun during winter.

A film adaptation of Nick Hornby's yet another best-selling novel. Much as it fails to be as impressive as About a Boy, this story of four totally different people brought onto the rooftop of a London skyscraper makes for an engaging movie. Although it is set in rather gloomy London, which is quite characteristically beset with inclement weather, "A Long Way Down" contains also an important episode set in the tropics ... Positively anti-depressing.
