Start time 00:00
Ending date 2015-07-31

It is the last exhibition at the Biała Gallery before the summer break. This time the gallery will display works by Robert Maciejuk and Paul Sochacki.

Invited by Sochacki to take part in this exhibition, Jan Gryka created additional painting interventions on several prints. Gryka is also the author of arrangements in the Biała Gallery’s corridor and patio that complement the exhibitions of the two artists.

Robert Maciejuk: Ceremonie / Ceremonies
The Biała Gallery has been collaborating with the artist since 1991, presenting his art on a regular basis. Maciejuk’s painting strategy consists in quoting cultural signs, symbols and various representations taken from the contemporary media as well as old textbooks, periodicals and tables. The motifs he uses are diverse, ranging from religious portrayals and landscape painting, to portraits. Maciejuk’s paintings balance between the scientific rationality and the emotional, the sentimental and the spiritual.

Paul Sochacki: To nie jest ostatnia fotografia / This is not the final photograph
The exhibition presents several dozen of photographs taken by Belgian photographer Paul Sochacki. These random snapshots were processed by the artist using a computer programme. The result is a series of unique painting-like images which greatly differ from the original photographs.

Opening event: 26 June 2015 at 6 PM. The exhibition will run until 31 July 2015.
