Lublin City Bike system will be expanded by 47 new stations in the next season. This means that the system will comprise 88 stations in total. Out of this number 42 stations will be added in Lublin, to include two stations with bikes for children, and five new stations will appear in Świdnik. The system in this shape will be ready for use just before cycling season begins next year.
An alteration to the long-term Financial Forecast has been adopted at today's session of the Lublin City Council thus securing funding for completion of this task. A tender issued by Roads and Bridges Management Department next week will be a next step in the process. A successful contractor will be required to complete the task by the end of March 2016.
Locations of the stations in Lublin were selected on the basis of proposals made by residents and the District Councils. There is going to be more stations in the city centre, where stations are the most popular and are to attract new users to make use of the city bike system. For that reason we have locations of new stations in the newly-build residential areas. Stations with children bikes will appear at Ogród Saski from Al. Racławickich i al. Długosza side.
